Lil White Lie
Attitude to little white lies is controversial – depends on a person who expresses opinion on the subject. If the white-liars do, then certainly, they don't find anything wrong about their innocent deceptions at all – they are either too tiny and unnoticeable or are 'performed' to protect their closest people – according to them devious white liars.
But if we ask the little white liars' victims, we will most probably get a stable opinion that they must not be approached with even such innocent at first sight deceptions for they are as harmful as insolently blatant or whopping lies. Even if it's all about most innocent lie-type ever, the key statement is people just don't want to be fooled.
There are white lies which can be justified if observed from distance, they are backed up with certain noble motives and intentions. It means that if people lie to their closest ones, their intentions are good and directed at saving a whitely fooled person's nerves or life – depends on the level of the seriousness of a matter.
An example of white lies and justification of occasional noble intentions hiding behind it can be a disastrous car accident which has happened to a family on their way home. It has taken the lives of a man (father) and a little girl (daughter).
A young woman (mother) is in the hospital in a considerably difficult condition which excludes any possible stresses or worries. She demands her mother who has come to visit her to tell her about the condition of her husband and her daughter. 'They are ok' answer is a vivid illustration of white lies which although intended to spare the woman colossal stress still fall into the category of the notion called deception.
