Lies in a Relationship

A relationship which starts with deception is condemned to big problems if not bound to shatter over the after-disclosure-taste. The chances of preserving a relationship started and i.e. based on a lie are quite low...

For example, if a woman starts an affair with a married man, then certainly, we can call is a relationship supported by deception. She starts a game which will scarcely be over with a happy end due to the spoiled relations between all the 'angles' of their love triangle.

White lies in a relationship are possible and sometimes even pass unnoticed, unpunished and unconcequenced. In other cases even white lies can be offended at – if a person who 'performs' them isn't careful with them enough to present them as something very innocent, as his or her sacrifice for instance.

Blatant and whopping lies in a relationship are unacceptable and impossible to excuse. If they take place and are disclosed, the relationship is on stake. Sometimes whopping lies in a relationship equal cheating and often leads directly to break-up.

Distortion of truth within a couple often results in misunderstandings which are easily cleared up – if people are flexible and sense-of-humour-full enough. Self-deception as a characteristic feature of a person within a couple is not too horrible if he or she deals with it eventually.
